66 Million Deadly Medication Mistakes

Medicine - Jones & Bartlett Learning: "- Sent using Google Toolbar"

Do you take medications? Probably so.

Listen to this. Last year there were "more than 66 million drug mistakes a year. Of those, about 325,000 are wrong-drug errors serious enough to cause potential harm to patients, including long-lasting injury or death. That equates to at least 1 death per day due to a medication error."

Be very careful. It's better in most cases to consider natural medicine first. That doesn't mean to the exclusion of a visit to the family doctor, but when he wants to put you on a medication it might be best to ask about alternatives such as diet, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications.

Consider acupuncture, nutrition, and chiropractic. These days it helps to have a team of healthcare providers. Don't exclude the M.D., just start thinking about including natural medicine in your healthcare arsenal.
