Adrenal Recovery Soup Recipe

 In today's world people are facing a multi-pronged stress attack, taxing the adrenal glands.  Many people just feel burned out.  Tired when they wake and they catch a second wind sometime after dinner, but exhausted so much of the time they don't know what normal energy should feel like anymore.

The adrenal glands are two small glands that sit on top of the kidneys.  One of their most important jobs is to help you respond to stress.  Some stress, in fact is normal and healthy.  Most people however are under stress from many sources; poor dietary habits, dehydration, lack of sufficient sleep, environmental pollution, personal issues, job related stress, etc.

Here is a soup recipe that does its part to help restore adrenal function.  Enjoy!

A vegetable soup recipe that has proven helpful in restoring adrenal function. This high energy soup called “Taz” comes from Dolores S. Downey’s “Balancing Body Chemistry with Nutrition” seminars.
* 16 oz green beans
* 1cup chopped celery
* 1 zucchini, sliced
* 1 medium onion, chopped
* 1 cup tomato juice
* 1 cup spring water
* 2 Tbsp raw honey
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 cup chicken broth
* pepper to taste
Combine ingredients and simmer for one hour until vegetables are tender.
