Chemicals coat apples decades after Alar scare - Yahoo! News

What can we do when healthy foods like apples become a health hazard from applied chemicals such as Alar? The best advice is the either scrub the skins thoroughly, peel the skins, or buy local certified organic if you can.

Alar coated apples are a classic example of what is called bioaccumulation. This means that over time chronically being exposed to small doses of poison will eventually catch up with you. The liver has no enzymes to break these chemicals down and they will continuously circulate through the blood or get stored in fat and joints. Over the decades of life they will keep accumulating in the body with more exposure to polluted air, water, soil, and food.

Industrial chemicals, food additives and pesticides, heavy metals, plastics, and more are part of life today. It is critical for all of us to take measures to protect as much as possible against these harmful toxins.

1)Drink a liter of water for every 100 lbs body weight daily.
2)Sleep 7 hours
3) Eat organic & scrub food
4) Do a supervised detox program with a professional
5) Move! Exercise and stretch!
6) Practice deep breathing, visualization, and relaxation techniques
