This is such an exciting study, I can't even tell you! Chiropractic, from the Greek "Chiros" "Praktikos" meaning "done by hand" has been in use since 1895 with great and sometimes "unproven" results. Some of the controverisal benefits may include reduction of blood pressure or relief of asthma. Sometimes these results are ridiculed as "not scientifically" proven. Well, here you go. This study demonstrates how touch and pressure have on effect on "two proteins with potential to be important targets for research into a wide range of health problems, including pain, deafness, and cardiac and kidney dysfunction."

Hands-on therapies are very powerful and now we have one more proof why! Right down to the cellular level!
