Dark Chocolate May Improve Metabolic Stress Response Say Nestlé Researchers

Dark chocolate to the stress rescue! What could be better news? Dark chocolate actually reduces elevated cortisol levels. Cortisol is also known as adrenaline and is elevated in response to stress and anxiety. When the stress is chronic cortisol levels can be high for so long that they become depleted as the adrenal glands can longer produce it. If the stress is still there this can be a dangerous situation.

In these cases we need to give the adrenal glands the nutrients they crave in order to function properly in response to stress. Dark chocolate, green tea, and dry red wine fit the bill! Make these items part of your daily diet.
