Numerous chiropractic research has demonstrated that chiropractic treatments using upper cervical care can show improvement in symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

In one study of 37 patients with Parkinson's disease being treated for a period of five years with chiropractic care had shown 92% of improvement in patients.

According to Dr. Elster, D.C., from Boulder, Colorado, that vertebral subluxations that happen when the vertebrae becomes misaligned or becomes stuck and causes interference with the central nervous system (spinal cord and brain). By aligning the first two upper vertebrae with the skull, the nerve pathways which travel between the brain and spinal cord become less obstructed.
